LONDON ART BIENNALE 2023

6TH EDITION OF THE LONDON ART BIENNALE 2023

The Chelsea Old Town Hall was designed by John Brydon in 1885, an architect who realised significant projects including the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Memorial Hospital, the Victoria Art Gallery in Bath and the Government Offices, Great George Street, London.

The London Art Biennale is a museum-level award exhibition curated by the International Confederation of Art Critics, the Chianciano Art Museum and the Gagliardi Gallery. The show is not theme based thus allowing for all artistic movements to be presented. The focus is on painting, works on paper, sculpture, applied arts and digital art, professionally curated to give the viewers and collectors a stimulating yet coherent experience.

Official Inauguration

The Official inauguration of the London Art Biennale 2023 will take place on Wednesday 26th July 2023 and is strictly by invitation only and reserved for art collectors, critics, art professionals, the selected artists and their guests. The London Art Biennale is free and open to the public on all other days.

Curated by international museum and gallery professionals

The Biennale takes place in Chelsea, where artists such as Augustus John and Alma Tadema established what is known as the true artistic centre of London.

The Importance of Original Art

Our London art gallery specializes in original art. What this means is that we do not sell or buy prints, lithographs or any other kind of reproduction on paper or canvas, numbered or otherwise. We, of course, have exceptions in relation to sculpture as bronzes are very rarely not part of an edition of at least 9. Our reasoning is that reproductions of artworks, even if they are signed by the artist, are not to be mixed with originals in our gallery so that buyers can be confident that all of our art is directly and fully made by the artist regardless of whether the artist is a 20th Century bastion of modern art or a talented and original contemporary artist. Buying art in London can be confusing and we provide a transparent and open service that allows a buyer to make informed and reasoned decisions.

The Gagliardi Gallery has obtained the respect of personalities of the calibre of Lady Margaret Thatcher, the then-Italian President Francesco Cossiga, Princess Margaret and Princess Anne, further enhancing its strong identity and character. –  Roberta Amerini
