THE DREAM – NATIVE PEN & INKS

VESINET,(PARIS) FRANCE 2O19

These Native Pen & Ink Drawings were included with a Native Show at the Galerie Les Cercles – the subject matter is characterized by dream-like visuals, using the Native Symbolism in a surrealistic style.

An artistic movement and an aesthetic philosophy that aims for the liberation of the mind by emphasizing the critical and imaginative powers of the subconscious.

Surrealism is a modern movement in art and literature that tries to express the subconscious mind. Surrealism introduced artists in all parts of the world to a way of seeing art not merely visually and literally, but also subconsciously. The meaning of SURREAL is marked by the intense irrational reality of a dream; also: unbelievable, fantastic–resembling a dream: fantastic and incongruous.
