Portrait of a musician Bob Marley

Marley – I have had this beautiful work enhancing my living space for 7.5 years

“I have had this beautiful work enhancing my living space for 7.5 years.  The energy of this piece of art lifts the vibration of any room it has been in.  Each time I examine it I am consistently captured by the bold rhythm of Paul’s brush, and use of broken colour in the work, to create light; all aligned with the image of Bob Marley, a man known for peace and light.  The confident vibratory nature of Ygartua’s brush stroke creates a contemporary impressionist piece of a musical master that has many times been a conversation focal point.  A true masterpiece.  Thank-you for bringing this work to life.” Patrick Reilly

Portrait painting of musician Prince

“I knew Ygartua’s brush. The strength of his strokes, the energy in his painting, that movement that belongs only to him, always irresistibly drew me in. I absolutely needed this painter, and no other, to capture on canvas the incandescence and brilliance of Prince’s guitar. He graciously accepted this commissioned work, which is inaugural since, to my knowledge, he had never painted ‘The Artist’ before. The result is stunning, with astonishing beauty and power. In my humble opinion, it is one of the top ten works of the artist. I am eternally grateful to him.”

Original in French:

Jacques Sebag (Paris, France)
